A classic India Pale Ale with American and New Zealand hops, named after the italian frustrating burocracy. Nose is elegant: it recalls citrus fruits and mature fruits with and starts with light sweet caramel, followed by a long, elegant, fine bitterness. Dedicated to the love for hops and to people of few words.

6% about 40 NOK, my first beer from this brewery, things look promising. A slightly opaque reddish amber color with a light beige head is the look I want in an IPA. The aroma is mild, caramel & a herbalness, possibly fennel? Not too bitter or sweet, well balanced. A bready nutty quality gives a full body, caramel & the sweet malt character starts you off then the hop bitterness comes in with a floral/herbal bitter taste that lingers in a good way. This beer seems to be telling a story & I like what it is telling me!

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Slightly hazy dark amber/copper color. Uneven, sticky beige head. Aroma’s of sweet malts, caramel, some piney hops, some fruit, a little roasted malts. Flavor is moderate sweet, light roast, light bitterness. Medium bodied. Long finish that slowly becomes full bitter.

4oz sample at Churchkey’s 3 Stars 1st Anniversary event. Pours a hazy, caramel amber with some thick, white head. Nose of lemon, orange, booze, some nail polish. Smells odd. Flavor is sweet, citrus, grapefruit, pine, a little wine. Full bodied finish. Strange. All over the place.

Bottled, BB 30-09-13, large sample. Slight hazy amber to copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma has fruity hop, citrus, caramelly malts, bit bready and grainy. Quite bitter taste, some sweet caramel. Malt provides some balance to the high bitterness. Aroma has lost most of its power I guess. Ends slightly sticky on the palate, but also with a nice clean bitterness. Decent brew.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of spices, over ripe fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and citrusy hops, leading to a biter finish.

From a 330ml bottle on 19/6/2013. pours a cloudy very dark golden, approaching amber, with abig head. Has a slight aroma featuring some caramel malt, a little grain and a touch of fruit There’s a touch of caramel malt and some sweet citrus fruit in the mouth with a reasonably firm, slightly spicy hop finish. Has a medium body and medium to lively carbonation. Pleasant enough but not a great IPA. Their Spaceman is much better.
