An alternative to dark and heavy winter warmers and stouts, Bright White (formerly Winter White) is a stylish and refreshing Wheat Ale.
Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices

Bottle. Very light fruit aroma. Cloudy grey-yellow, low head. Fruity base, a lot more bavarian than belgian, banana, clementine, banana, vanilla, a bit clove. Quite ok. Fatty mouthfeel. Pleasant dessert-weissbier - not sure what is so wintery about it though.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy light yellow with minimal white head. Aroma of wheat with a little lemon. Taste is light sweet. Wheat, banana and some light lemonade. Full bodied with a creamy and sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, it’s ok. I’m glad I didn’t get a whole 6pk though.

12oz bottle pours hazy deep fully opaque gold to grapefruit juice supporting a thin white head. The aroma offers up a big bubble gum and banana mix of notes as well as cloves, a thin layer of lemon and some saison yeast like spiciness. The taste begins with yeasty spices and some spicy hops as well as a quick sharp pulse of sweet banana. It evens out midway and into the finish as the spiciness fades and banana and bubble gum sweeten and smooth out. I also get a mild pleasing note of grainy wheat showing up briefly toward the finish.

12 oz bottle from a mix case got in Lake Harmony, PA. Yellow hazy color, can’t see through, fast disappearing head. Very small lingering head Minimal carbonation. That left small lacing. Simple nose of citrus and coriander. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Very refreshing and the style reminds me of summertime. Very easy to drink several of. I would also drink this any day of the week if it was available.

Whole Foods, DC sixpack ($11): Pours a hazy yellow color with a very quickly dissipating white head. Banana, wheat, and spice in the aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Some tangy feel from the spices, which leaves a little bit of aftertaste. Lemon notes are there as well. A very solid Belgian wit.

Purchased from the \"green\" Jewel in Chicago, IL, enjoyed on Christmas night prior to watching a movie at home. This stuff is great! Anything I associate with the word \"winter\" I would assume has holiday spices, but I’m not really getting that from this brew. Aroma like a hefe - cloves and bananas. Appearance an extremely cloudy gold/off white with a thin white head. Taste reminiscent of a Hoegaarden / Hefeweizen combination with clove, banana, and the somewhat sugary Belgian yeast/candi. Pretty great stuff.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a large beige head. The aroma is yeasty and bready, with an undercurrent of citrus and pine hops. The flavor is mostly bitter, with none of the typical wit acidic and tart bite. The palate is heavy, creamy and sticky. Overall, not terrible, but nothing special.
