An alternative to dark and heavy winter warmers and stouts, Bright White (formerly Winter White) is a stylish and refreshing Wheat Ale.
Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices

Draft @ Lunar Brewing Company, Villa Park, IL. Pours a creamy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity wheat malty aroma. Sweetish wheat malty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish wheat malty caramel finish.

Bottle: Hazy golden yellow pour with a creamy white head. Dry aroma is wheaty, citrus, cloves, and light florals. Clean and crisp taste is a bit heavier in the cloves than the aroma, orange peel, corriander, and wheat. Nice finish. Truly a witbier that I could enjoy regularly.

Bottle thanks to steebo777 (no batch number listed). Pours with a hazy yellow body and a thin white head on top. Aroma of banana, vanilla, and some spicy phenols. In all honesty it smells much more like a hefe than a wit. Flavor of raw wheat, spice, coriander, banana and vanilla. A bit bready as well. Very fizzy bubbles and a bone dry finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Wine and Beer Westpark, 12/5/09
Aroma: The nose is made up of lots of lemon zest, some banana, clove, other citrus, wheat, and spice
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with a wispy white head and a little lace on the glass
Flavor: Tastes much like it smells, a moderate sweetness that really lasts
Palate: Has a light body, a nice mouthfeel, and a reasonably long duration
Overall Impression: This is not my favorite style out there, but I do like they way this one works. It is a really solid example of what I'm looking for in a witbeir. Nice classic take on the style, and a good, highly drinkable beer. Not sure why its a winter seasonal, but it makes for a good session regardless of the season. Though I don't see it as an exclusively winter style beer, I could certainly session this one in the winter...

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. The color is hazy light orange with a medium to light off-white head and carbonation. In general the flavor fairly strong clove and medium orange. Good beer, but nothing extremely special.
