An alternative to dark and heavy winter warmers and stouts, Bright White (formerly Winter White) is a stylish and refreshing Wheat Ale.
Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices

Bottle. It pours a pale, yellowish and hazy body with a white head. Some floaties. Cellarish, spiced aroma, with coriander, some pale malt. Fruity flavor with banana and coriander, as well as some lemon. Medium, quite dry mouthfeel, with a spicy, fruity finish. A really godd withbier, quaffable and refreshing. (080305)

Super hazy golden orange coloured body with a thinnish and fast-fading white head. Aroma of nice wheat, malt, coriander seed, yeast and a curacao. Medium-bodied; Sweet flavour of curacao, yeast and wheat coupled with a nice twang of icing sugar, apricots and peaches. Aftertaste has the coriander seed freshness and the yeastie quality that drives the long-lasting taste. Overall, a very nice wit - definitely one to have in winter and to save a few for summer! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchaed from Normβs in Vienna, Virignia on 04-April-2008.

Bottle [Thanks Phil_L]. Murky light yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, banana, citrus, pepper. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (151207)

Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007, brought by Phil_L: Poured a hazy white yellow with a white head. The aroma is citrus and perfume like. The taste is a sweet wheat with a slight bitter citrus.

12 oz. bottle from poolboy. No batch stamp, odd for Bellβs. Pour is a really cloudy white - pale yellow. I have never seen a beer that looked like this, a little weird looking, actually. Head is a 1/2 inch white that drops rather quickly. Aroma of Belgian yeastiness, citrus, wheat and a nice spiciness (coriander?). Very full aroma profile. Taste is big on the wheat, nice full body almost more akin to a German Hefe (some clove, bubblegum). There is also the citrus and some sweetness. The finish is punctuated by the spiciness again. Interesting beer, thanks Dale.

Bottle. Thin head, no lacing. Peach colored with aroma of yeast and grapes. A bit thin, but a good wheat ale with a hint of spice at the end.

Banana and clove aroma. Dingy maize color with a thin head. Dominant taste of wheat. Slight tasteful DMS finish. Not a very authentic sample of a witbier, but a decent beer.

Poured a light grapefruity golden with pinkish hues with a white fizzy head that faded immediately. Smells slightly malty, slightly grainy and a touch of yeast and bananas. Flavor is quite interesting. It tastes a bit like an American wheat (admittedly not my favorite) with a smokey flat kind of flavor. It tastes also like a traditional wit, yeasty, fruity and a touch nutty. The marriage of the two types and the two flavors is only partly successful in my eyes. A pure American wheat would be too flat and grainy, a wit too yeasty. This beer is entirely drinkable, with a watery neutral finish. A good multi-seasonal beer for novice beer drinkers, a interesting combination of styles for the educated.

Bottle courtesy of Plucier: Poured extremely cloudy whitish/yellow color ale with a nice small pure white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of medium wheat with some very subtle spice note. Taste is lighter then expected with some wheat but no bubblegum notes that I usually appreciated in an hefeweizen and some very subtle spices and therefore no coriander that I usually like in my witbier. It appears that by mixing those two I am not getting the best of both word. This is probably one of the weakest offering from this fine brewer.
