An alternative to dark and heavy winter warmers and stouts, Bright White (formerly Winter White) is a stylish and refreshing Wheat Ale.

Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices

Bottle. Nice witbier. Orange, light citrus. I agree with other people here, as I hardly would think "winter" when I drink this. I’d be more inclined to think that this would be more refreshing when it’s starting to get warmer outside.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, hops and spices. Flavour is wheat, hops and spices. A good witbier clone, but a bit empty compared to the Belgian ones. Fruity hops is staying long in aftertaste.

Hazy pale yellow color, not much head. Wheaty nose with lots of banana. Banana, coriander in the flavor. More hoppy than European wheat beers. Sugary hoppy aftertaste.

Typical white beer aroma is present. Initial flavor is impressive, more impact than a real belgian white. Pale yellow with a slight haze. Average fizz. Finish is OK but has a slight linger.

Reminds me very much of Oberon, but with a much more spicy, wintery kick to it - the classic witbier spices are there, but I detect a hint of ginger, perhaps even nutmeg - a little too subtle for a winter ale, perhaps, but decent none-the-less.

draft - I’m baffled as to why this beer is called a winter beer, but okay. It’s a decent belgian white with very little head, a mild aroma, a sweet flavor with light citrus notes, a thin to moderate body, and a clean finish. It’s refreshing, though not very interesting.

Bottle. Poures a cloudy light yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grass and spice with some citrus there as well. Flavor is of hay and some spices along with some hops and citrus. Mouth is light and rather crisp. Decent witbier, though I liked it better on tap than the bottle.

Bottle. (12-20-2005 - Winter White) Slightly sour wheat and peach aroma. Pale orange yellow color with small white head. Wheat malt flavor with apple, peach and clove/coriander notes. Nice body for the style. This is as good if not better than any Belgian witbier. / 12-27-19 - Still like this just as much as I did 14 years ago - very solid witbier, great balance. I wish Bells would make wheats more often - they nail them.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Hazy golden with a small, white head. Vague fruity aroma of oranges. Lightly sourish. Light-bodied with weak notes of citrus. Pretty much without bitterness. 271105

Pale, cloudy yellow. Aroma of spice, coriander, clove and lemon. Taste followed along the same lines with the spices dominating hints of pepper and banana. Slightly on the sweet side. Thin body. Nothing about this beer propels it beyond good, but it is good.
