33 cL bottle, courtesy of Bov. Pours dark brown with a thick, chocolate brown and creamy head. Nice coffee and dark malty aroma, light chocolate note. Smooth coffee herbal and chocolate flavoured, nice roasted malt base with no acidic touch. Smooth lingering dark malty flavoured into the finish. Lasting roasted malt and coffee impression. Really good and nice balanced - great smoothness in flavour profile.

Bottle, thanks Allen! Coffee, cigarette smoke and toffee aroma. Jet black, brown lip. Coffee in the foreground, cigar tobacco, vanilla, honey roasted almonds. Medium to light body, smooth mouthfeel. Coffee roast lingers on, turns into a berry mote on the finish. At first impression I found the beer to be a bit harsh, but after it opened up a bit it turned into a quite delicare brew flavorwise.

bottle, Hallo Allen! Black colour, small beige head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Full-bodied, malty and full of coffee flavours with a pleasant bitterness. No traces of the high ABV. Very smooth and velvety palate. A very exotic beer. Danke, Allen, für dieses Bier!

Bottled@omhper-post-SBWF-1st-weekend tasting. Deep amber colour, small head. Aroma is hops, roasted malts, some slight fruityness and quite a lot of chocolate and coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, caramel, some fruity hops as well as some mild notes of cocoa. Coffee and some mild fruits in the aftertaste. Another solid product from Trois Dames!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Very black, no head. Rich aroma of black cherries and dark chocolate, coffee comes along later. Dryish and dense with complex and interesting flavours of blueberry, cocoa and coffee. Light salty bitterness. Trois Dames is making it into my top list of Europe’s 10-20 best breweries I think!

wow and wow, the beer lives up to its 2008 medal of extreme Swiss beer, and it can hold its own against some of the best coffee stouts out there. 25cl bottle, pours black, with beige head. Aroma is loaded with coffee/espresso, this sweet and roasted smel you get when it is freshly grinded. Taste just melts in your mouth, coffee all over, malty and some bitter note, probably from some added chocolate. An excellent coffee inspired stout, that really deserves its rating.
