Troubadour Obscura is a mild dark red-brown beer with a balanced Belgian twist. Immediately after the first sip of this beer, the difference with other Belgian dark beers becomes apparent. The solid taste of malt originates from the combination of four different malts used in the brewing of this beer. Discover all the different notes: chocolate, coffee, vanilla…

Flaska från SB. Beskrivs som en Mild Stout på flaskan. Ganska roligt.Mörkt brunröd, högt kopmakt beige skum, klar. Drucken i kupol.

Bottle. Darkish brown with a light beige head that leaves sheets of lacing. Aroma is woody with coffee, vanilla and dried fruit. Taste has some chocolate as well. Quite dry and woody finish with some alcohol, bitterness creeps up. Dried fruits are nice but struggle to get established on the palate before the finish kicks in. Leans towards elegant where I want beguiling, but a fine beer.

33 cl bottle @ Kaisla, BBE 10.04.2015
Aroma has ripe fruits, rye bread, raisins and brown sugar. Flavour is sweet with lots of grain, sugary notes, raisins and hints of rye. Rich and sticky palate. A feeling of alcohol in the finish. Nice, althought gets too sweet towards the end of the glass.

Whole Foods, Bowery 33cl ($5): Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is a load of dark fruitiness, a whiff of booze, and roasted malts. Taste is mildly sweet. Hops are more noticeable at the finish, with some nice bitterness, coupled with an ambiguous and prolonged fruitiness. Slight hints of booze in the taste, but nothing that substantial; if anything, it might give it a bit of a bite. Pretty good Dark BSA.
