Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with big, airy but stable light beige head. Clear aroma of berries, with touches of yeast and caramel. Bitter and dry flavour of yeast and berries, with fruity touches and notes of hops and malt. Lingering vinous aftertaste with estery notes and touches of caramel malt. Decent but rather different from my idea of a Dubbel.

Bottle, 7.8%. Good dusty and nicely vinous aroma. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Very big rocky light brown head. The flavour starts off nicely citric. Totally unexpected of the style, but good nevertheless. Good citric note, very clean, but also with a distinct note of sour cherries. Good and refreshing, actually.

Murky brown to auburn pour with a thinnish head. Aroma of cherries and something like slightly off tangerines. Spices and licorice provide a nice accompaniment. Taste is mildly tart up front, full of cherries, turns immediately sweeter though, full of licorice. Overall, nice balance of sweet, tart and spice. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. I was skeptical at first but this settled into being a nice one.

Big florals - bigger than most dubbels. Prune and some light leather. Cherry. Great mix. Pours murky brown with great head and lacing. Light sweet end. Nice stuff - subtle and we'll balanced. Tap at Sovereign.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and huge, firm, frothy to macropore, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity aroma, notes of red and dark berries, bramble, raspberry, minimally dusty, yeasty overtones; the fruity flavours are transformed into morello notes with the beer warming up. Taste is sweet-ish, fruity, notes of red and dark berries, dry overtones of fruit parings, a touch of plum, minimally toasty, malty basis with a pumpernickel touch; minimally tart finish with hints of morello. Good.

Draft. An amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, spices, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices, and fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

Bouteille: Hazy, deep ruby-amber coloured, small and stable off-white foamy layer, moderate bitter-sweet fruity and toasty nose of raisins, raspberries and caramel; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a certain acidity, medium bodied, not overly soft, lingering - first sweet-fruity, later drier herbal-bitter finish with delicate traces of warming alcohol. O.K., drinkable...
