Draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours near black with a big beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, lactose, toffee, fudge, roast and licorice. Flavour is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Keg at SBWF. Hazy verydark brown, tan head. Chocolate and tobacco dominate the nose. Dryish with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Heavily roasted coffee, mud cake and black pepper before a mid bitter finish. Harmonious.

Sample at Atlantic Beer Festival Moncton. Clear deep maroon color, small tan and beige head. Aroma of cocoa and coffee grounds. Taste has soft roast and bitter cocoa.

Botella de 37,5 cl en el lúpulo en el momento el 14-06-2014. Elaborada en 30-07-2013 hasta 30-07-2014. Color negro intenso con espuma beige. Aromas suaves de maltas ligeramente tostadas y dulces de caramelos también tostados. Cuerpo ligero a medio con 5.5 vol fácil de beber. Sabores ligeros, algo pastosos, de maltas tostadas algo especiadas, ligeros cacaos y chocolates . Regusto amargo poco intenso y con toques de cafés quemados y achicorias que se intensifican según va calentando . Ligera y fácil de beber. No esta mal.

Lean body, the mouthfeel is rather dry; good roasted malt flavor, with a light coffee edge; there is some minimal sourness from the dark malts, while the final shows some more dark chocolate; strong bitterness, with some hop resins hidden by the roastiness.
