Bottle shared with Silke on our first night in St Alphonse. Black with a frothy, beige head of moderate duration. Aroma of roasted grains, licorice, and a whisp of berry jam. Taste is mildly sweet up front, bittersweet at the back with the roast and licorice nicely intertwined. Medium bodied, smooth, mild carbonation. Good one.

roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, roasted grains, slight notes of nuts. I’m not a fan of the nitro tap though

Poured from nitro tap. Near black with full light beige nitro head. Dry lightly roasted malt with hint of chocolate, touch of oats. Decent.

Tap at Moeder Lambic St Gilles. Surprisingly light. Cola element. Maybe a little fruity, bit spritzy. Light roast, little choc. Seems more carbonated than i would have expected, --- Beer merged from original tick of Sang-d'Encre on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 8.

Dark pour at the Jeffrey. Nose is dry roasted malt and some earth. Tastes of lovely roasted malt, some earth, light cola and cocoa. Dry finish. Pretty good
