Draught @ Mikkeller Bar (Aarhus), Jaegergaardsgade 61, ST., DK-8000 Aarhus, Denmark. [ As To Øl Barley Wine Babushka ].Clear medium to dark brown red color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, prunes, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dried fruit, prunes, sweet malt, alcohol - portwine, bread, sweet alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20160227]

Tap at TCBW. Pours dark amber. Aroma is sweet, fruits, malt, dates, plums. Flavor is sweet, sticky, malty, some alchol and sour notes. Finish has more dates. Overall: great brew.

Draft sample @ TCBW ’16. Couleur acajou, doré au verre, huileux, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme offre un nez laissant un côté vin cuit - rouge, le tout accompagné de pas mal de caramel, épice, chocolat avec une pointe de barrique et de boisé. Palais est épais, presque sirupeux avec un côté vin barrique versant sur les raisins, dates et figues mettant en avant un gros profil de fruits noirs. Sucre résiduel est conséquent ajoutant à cette sensation de lourdeur en bouche et épaisseur, le tout est collant aux lèvres.

Caña tomada en el Lupulo 25..03..2016. Color rojizo cobrizo oscuro con espuma beige. Aromas y sabores intensos dominantes de frutos pasos quinas y tremenda dosis de maderas empapadas en vino de oporto. Ligeras especias y maltas algo tostadas y dulces caramelizadas. Cuerpo intenso con 13.5 vol pero ligero y fácil de beber en boca, que la convierten más en un vino que en una cerveza. Cada vez más dulce y más intensa según va calentando. (r15). Inmensa barley wine con grandes dosis de Oporto. Imprescindible. Para. repetir sin duda.

Tap@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - dark amber coloured pour with off-white head. High sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruity with prune prominence, port wine infused wooden nuances, some spices on the palate, overall very sweet but it works very well for me. Lovely
