Sweet, roast malts, big coffee and chocolate all star in this beer. Brewed with lactose to smooth the bitterness of darker malts and add a light creaminess to this sessionable dark beer. We use wonderful whole bean Hasbean coffee for this brew.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a off-white head. Quite stated in its roasted malt in both aroma and taste, but with a light palatable texture.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a large, tan head. Lots of roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, coffee, lactose and pine. Moderate sweetness and bitterness and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied and smooth. Great beer considering itโ€™s low ABV!

Almost black beer with a very big, clouding and light brown head. Temptating appearance. Aroma has strong coffee and roastiness, salt liquirice, some pine forest and sweetness of chocolate. Taste has strong coffee, lactose, roastiness, and some salt liquirice, hint of chocolate. Medium bodied, smooth and pleasant palate. Huge amount of flavours in these abv. Tasteful beer with the strong coffee but thatโ€™s mixed nicely into the other rich flavours. Great beer.
