Tripel LeFort is a golden blonde beer of 8.8% ABV and sets itself apart through its crisp, fruity aroma and beautifully rounded full flavour. The top-fermenting yeast used for Tripel LeFort results in a beer with vanilla-clove aromas as well as a fruity taste of bananas and red apples. Pleasant hints of citrus, lime and roses make this into a balanced beer that is intriguingly complex at the same time.

A beer with body… the full flavour combined with the alcohol give you a warm feeling that slowly eases away.

Keg at Poechenellekelder. It pours clear blonde with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuit, spice, cereal, honey, melon, sponge cake and melon. The taste is dry, bitter-sweet, oily, sticky, toffee, honey cake, bready, brioche, apple, pear, melon, spice and booze with a drying finish. Medium+ body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Sweetness is kept in check. Decent enough for style.

Uit een flesje, gekocht in Den Burg, gedronken in de schapenboet. Helder geel, weinig wit schuim, maar een uitstekende smaak, zoetig. Heerlijk.

Bottle @ St. Patrick's Gone Mad, Sønderborg. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with floral and estery notes. Alcohol in the long nose. Sweetish flavour of malt and fruit, with estery and hoppy notes and touches of marcipan and spices. Malty and estery aftertaste. Reasonable.

Bottle, 8.8%. The aroma is floral at first, turning perfumy and vinous. Clear dark golden colour. OK stable white head. The flavour is quite sweet to begin with, but is partially balanced by a good alcohol note. Sweetish and phenolic flavour, some boozy marzipan.

Clear light amber, white head. Yeasty aroma, some solvent, but I like solvent. Fruity, yeasty flavour with a little spice and some more of that deliscious solvent.
