Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is warm en krachtig, licht zoet en een heel licht fruitig zuurtje. Sporen van rozijnen, wat pruimen en chocolade.

33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop. F: thin, dark tanned, quick gone. C: black, opaque. A: rich dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits, bit roasted tones, bit coffee, caramel. T: full malty base, chocolate, bit coffee, cocoa, bit vinous, dark dried fruits, caramel, not so complex yet quite nice to be fully enjoyed.

Keg at Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Black pour with a beige head. Rich nose of plum jam,raisin,chocolate. Sweet roasty flavours of coffee,dark plums,dark chocolate. Lovely stuff! More whoreish than moreish! 😁

Bottle at home shared with Inoven. Opaque black color, medium sized light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, roasted malts, lightly some peaty notes initially, slight lactose, malt bitter initialy a bit, distant hints of coffee and chocolate, caramel notes, sweet and getting sweeter after a while. It's all mixed together, blended, you can't really enjoy the individual flavors imo. Although, after warming up half an hour there is indeed some more chocolate coming through, it definitely gets better. Sticky texture, decent to medium body, fairly soft carbonation. Ok.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Zwart bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Aroma van koffie en karamel. Smaak en nasmaak is zoet en koffieachtig. Chocolade haal ik er niet meteen uit.

Bottle. Black with a tan head that's less than a coat in a couple of minutes. Booming sweet coffee aroma with chocolate brioche and light spice. Silky texture (there must be lactose in this), lowish carbonation. Not as sweet as suggested by the aroma, nor does the coffee pop so much. But it's rich and well balanced with enough roast to make it a stout not a mocha beer and enough bitterness at the end to tame the richness. No overt alcohol but doesn't really justify its strength. Supple.
