Bottle. Black with a tan head that's less than a coat in a couple of minutes. Booming sweet coffee aroma with chocolate brioche and light spice. Silky texture (there must be lactose in this), lowish carbonation. Not as sweet as suggested by the aroma, nor does the coffee pop so much. But it's rich and well balanced with enough roast to make it a stout not a mocha beer and enough bitterness at the end to tame the richness. No overt alcohol but doesn't really justify its strength. Supple.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing. Smooth and dense beginning. The beer is deep with lots of roast and caramel. Somehow sweetish with a deep and intense malty body. Lots of dry caramel, roasted grain over a smooth mild bitterness.

33cl bottle from my Secret Santa VDuquerroux, many thanks! A black beer with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, coffee, strong dark malt, some lactose. Taste of strong and mild sweet dark malt, soft roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla, medium bitterness, not too sticky, good!

Botella 33 cl en Cimmeria 06.. 09..2017. (r29) sin lote ni Fcpref. Color negro intenso brillante con espuma beige fina que desaparece al poco dejando pequeňa corona. Sabores maltosos tostados con toques de caramelos ligeros y tostados. Cacaos y suaves cafés. Cuerpo medio a intenso con algo ligero y fácil de beber. Fino. Al calentar mejora bastante. Para repetir.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. Big impy stout aroma. Dark chocolate espresso coffee. some heat on the end. Warming dark chocolate. Just a touch boozy. Good though.

Bottle at home, 16th July 17. Pours black, not much head. Aroma is light liquorice, taste is liquorice, sweet, slightly sharp, more sweet cocoa, chocolate. OK impy, there are much better in France right now.

Opaque dark brown beer, good yellowish tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts with a touch of malt cream, unsweet dark chocolate and a trace of roast. Spice. Mild licorice. Dry spicy finish. Fairly standard Impy but fine.
