Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is oak, cherries, dark bready malt, caramel, tart red grapes, vinous notes, cognac, dried dark fruits, raisins, toffee, with a hint of bretty funk. Flavour is fairly tart with a definite rich sweet touch, light bitterness and sourness. Body is above medium. What a surprise, this slightly funky and vinous cognac cherry wee heavy. Lovely!

On keg at Small Bar, Bristol. Pours clear dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, dark fruits, oak, hint of brett. Taste is light tart, moderate sweet with caramel, oak, dark cherries. Medium bodied, soft carb with a dry bitter finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, bread, dark malt, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spice, caramel, dark malt, cherry, toasted, rich malt.
