Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and luscious notes of apricot, grapefruit and mango that are sure to evoke imagery of swaying palms and sun-kissed shores.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus, mild herbs/pine. Appearance is gorgeous clear golden yellow with minimal sparkle, three finger width frothy head with good retention and sudsy lacing. Taste is as aroma, pine and herbs stronger in flavor than in aroma but still fruity/citrus dominant. Alcohol hidden well. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and average to soft carbonation. Overall, this is as advertised--an IPA that evokes the islands and fruity drinks. Certainly not your standard IPA in terms of bitterness and for those who like bitter, resiny IPA’s are likely to be disappointed. Could have used a little bit more balance to be more interesting but it is true to itself.

Can from Foodshow in Shibuya. Grapefruit forward nose with some light pine and biscuit malts. Well-balanced on the palate with a hint of malty sweetness and pithy, citrusy bitterness. Finish is balanced and leans a bit towards the sweet side. Nice, but simple IPA.

Tap at Cimmeria. Clear golden-orange colour. Unnecessarily much alcohol. Hops flavour is somewhat covered by the booziness. Also there is too much biscuity maltiness also covering the hops. Bitterness is high but the hops flavours not as strong as it could be.
