Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and luscious notes of apricot, grapefruit and mango that are sure to evoke imagery of swaying palms and sun-kissed shores.

West Coast IPA with medium thick, egg white, irregular, lacing head and lightly hazy, deep and warm ’old gold’ colour, paler than usual for an IPA. Dank and very elegantly hoppy but also malty aroma of yellow grapefruit, fragrant lime blossom, lemon grass, toasted bread, cereals, raw beans, fresh flowers, bitter honey, overripe mango and plantain, spruce needles, butter, hint of meadow grass, faint hint of bubblegum almost like in a Belgian IPA. Crisp and clean fruitiness, sweet apricot and pineapple hints, very light umami flavour of green olives somewhere, minerally hints, bit resiny and smooth mouthfeel, very grainy and lightly bready maltiness in the middle almost like a pale lager but without the corn and more pronounced with a very subtle toasted edge; finishes in the expected long, dry and oily hop bitterness, very floral and citrus peel-like, piney, tonic water and bitter honey, very aromatic but bittering as well, almost stopping the malt sweetishness to come through without becoming too abrasive. Well-executed, interesting IPA tilted to the more malty side but still with an expressive, pleasant, ethereal and sufficiently powerful hop character; the balance between malts and hops is admirable.

Very pale yellow with fluffy head. Has a strange aroma with some green hop and fruity sugary notes. Hop bitterness is strong but not overpowering. There’s a creamy malt feel to it.

24/VIII/15 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: V/2016 (2015-1123)
Clear deep blond beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet ripe summer fruits, bit malty, caramel, marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, very fruity, citrus, ripe mango, pineapple, passion fruit. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, resinous touch, caramel malts underneath all that bitterness, still lots of exotic fruits, grapefruit, citrus. Wow, what a beer!

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is super fruity with all kinds of mango and other tropical fruits. Flavor is pretty much on par with the aroma. Big juicy resinous fruity hops. Finish has a dry malty backbone to stand up against the sweet fruity hops. This one pushes all the right buttons for a solid west coast IPA.

Ambar translucida. Bonito color. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle) Orange amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricot marmalade, orange, bread, honey, a touch of resin, peaches and fresh floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange peel, apricots, marmalade, grapefruit, honey, mango, bready malt and balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Golden nice head. Very piney hop nose and flavors, a touch grapefruity. Malts are a little buttery, seems maybe some diacetyl. Also hint of vegetal finish.

Into a shaker showing a well filtered, dark onion brown. The aroma shows generous notes of shrewd cannabis with big notes of resinous pine The palate shows medium bodied, light and foamy mouth feel with most of the same flavors on the palate. Juicy citrus flavors on the mid-palate with a very light IPA-sharp bitterness at the end. Clean and flavorful, not bursting with flavors but a moderate intensity throughout. A balanced summer sipper great for knocking back despite the alcohol percentage.
