Named after Coronado Island, our original India Pale Ale is a liquid expression of hometown pride. Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and luscious notes of apricot, grapefruit and mango that are sure to evoke imagery of swaying palms and sun-kissed shores.

A 355ml bottle shared by Finn. A cloud lag to golden coloured body. Partially remaining pearl white head. Mixed smell of citrus and brown malts. Taste of fresh fruity hops, lemon, peach, and orange, supported by mild malty sweetness. Bitter tail. Well bodied. Soft in the mouth. Pleasant and tasty (at Finns place in Tromsø 27.05.2014).

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was released very recently in Michigan. Pours slightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of bright citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity of bright citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle on the balcony of our appartment in Maui, from ABC stores, 22/04/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white head that retains well. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, light pine, grapefruit, straw, hint of sticky mango. Taste comprises light pine, grapefruit, candied orange peel, caramel malt forward. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop linger in a bitter close. Decent enough malt forward IPA.

12oz Bottle underneath the flight deck at the stern of USS Medway on 18th March 2014. Cloudy old golden colour with a thin white head, it was poured into a plastic beaker though, so the head didn’t really stand a chance. The nose leads with grapefruit notes followed by a mild bread/biscuit maltiness. The taste reverses those smells with the malts just about winning the flavour stakes in the initial stages before the citrus flavours take over completely giving a dry and semi-bitter finish.

12oz bottle. FIltered looking light orange-tan. Foamy white head. Fast rising carbonation bubbles. In your face Cascade assault. Solid grapefruit aroma. Clean body, with a bold, classic NW hop bite. As clean as a session IPA, but a lot more potent. Sweet, hop tinged finish. Solid product.
