Aroma of slightly tart fruits, citrus, floral notes, grassy hops. Flavour is light sweet and light tart with a light bitter finish. Very refreshing. Not your typical Märzen, which I guess is a good thing.

Bottle. Golden color. Lime in the slightly herbal aroma. Malty lime flavor. Soft grassy herbal notes.. passion fruit. Not as malty as a märzen should be, but a lovely brew.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, batch 14080 BB 16-12-2015, large sample. Slight hazy yellow color, big rocky off-white head. Aroma of flowery hops, some citrus, slight spicy yeast, bit funky brett as well. Slight grainy malt. Bit sweet in taste, fruity, soft bitterness. Dont know what’s oktoberfest about it, but it’s a very tasty blonde.

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty, hoppy aroma, apricot, tropical fruits. Malty flavour, light bitter, straw, fruity hops. Quite full body. Light sweet, light bitter finish, straw. Not your typical Märzen, but to be honest I’d prefer this take on the style above a more traditional example any time.

Tap @ In De Wildeman. Golden color, slightly hazy. White head, slowly diminishing. Aroma’s: fruit (sour almost), some grain. Fruit, hopbitter, light funk and grain retronasal. Flavor is light malty sweet, light bitter, some fruity sourness. Light bodied, but not thin. Finishes with grain and a moderate bitterness. More a saison than an Oktoberfest, but a very nice brew anyway.

Draft at In De Wildeman, 20/11/2014. Pours hazy orange with a big off white head. Aroma of citrus, some nice floral hops and a good soft Brett aspect. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Nothing like an Oktoberfest beer but better!

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub 1 year anniversary party. Hazy orangy color, medium sized off-white head. Nice fruity lightly hoppy aroma. Didn’t expect this from an Oktoberfest beer. Taste is fruity and hoppy with a slight hint of fruitpeel. Decent body and carbonation.
