500ml bottle @ Varjopikkujoulut

Pours murky yellow with a smooth white head. Aroma of heavy earthy notes, mold cellar, sour berries and tartness. Taste is sour, funky and yeasty with loads of earthy notes, hints of mold cellar and tart berries. Finish is funky, yeasty and earthy with some sourness and tartness. Quite earthy lambic.

50 cl bottle @ tiong, no BBE info
Grolsch flip-top bottle with Rooie Dop paper on top – wtf?
Aroma has grapefruit, acidic tones and some milk. Flavour is rather acidic with grapefruit, earthy tones and hints of green apples. The best Rooie Dop I’ve had, but perhaps the honour is not all theirs...

Bottle shared thanks to Countbeer. Pours very hazy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, dusty notes, funk, tart light fruit. Flavour is light sweet and moderate acidic. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very decent!

HUGE thnx go out to both brewer and Jan ( from biershop ’bierkoning ’ In Amsterdam ) To help me and go way out of their way to get me a bottle of this precious ! Really appreciate this guys ! Shared At BBF 2014 . Pours unclear blonde , big, yet fast fading white head . Smell is lemon-sour, intense . Taste is sour, funky ( whats in a name, hah ? ) , dry, lemons, oak . This reminds a lot of Tilquin geuze, yet I’m far from sure what lambics are used for that one . Very respectable ! Given the fact that this is very hard to come by , and thus probably way to expensive now , it is not something to drink regularly . But if it were, this could stand up to many classics . As for its value now-days , I would say I’d rather chase 50th anniversary or stuff like that . Both people mentionned above however, gave me the chance to drink this . Not for big money , just cause they’re great people . Cheers guys, this one’s to you ! 4,2 Re-rate anno 2017. The beer has fallen appart. Very moist, wet wood, very citrussy sour. Not that great anymore. 3,5

Sampled from bottle @ Bierkoning if memory serves me correctly. Opaque hazy yellow color, virtually no head. Aroma and taste are lovely like a fine geuze. Oh wait, it is a geuze! I love it. Fruityness, fruitpeel, a bit vineous, balanced sourness. Very nice indeed!

A true lambic beer. Sour, tardy and with a nice grassy edge. Fresh, bitter and delicously sour.
