Bottle at Chateau Jackl, thanks to our Kenneth, 13/08/14. Dark mahognay brown with a moderate light tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is tarte red berry fruits, light brett, spice, red berry sherbets, light acidic nostril twitch, liqourice, tarte blackberries. Taste comprises musty berry soaked wood, red berry compote, dank must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidity in the close tempered with sweeter red berry notes. Solid stuff.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours golden brown with a foamy off-white head. The nose has a bit of funky sweat, aged berries, wood. Light-medium sweet flavor, further sweat, wood, mild acetic burn, ripe orange, berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nice acetic burn on the finish, some funk, raspberry, old wood. Good and funky. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to BenH. It pours deep brown with small white head. The nose is red fruits, tang, caramel, tangy, vinous, red wine, plum skin and mild acidity. The taste is tangy, red wine, wood, mild acidity, plum skin, redcurrant, Granny Smith apple, raspberry and oak with a lingering wood-acidity on the finish. Fruity, tangy and rather scoopable.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small white head. Nose brings out dry liqueur notes, some moderate brett, and light dark fruits. Flavour brings out fresh pungent cherries, moderate tartness, and a little brett, but it's not prominent. Surprising how pungent the cherry flavour is. Fairly complex, but not overly drinkable - a slow sipper. Very nice unusual stuff.
