We invited the brewers from Weihenstephan, the oldest brewery in the world, to our brewery to concoct a co-created beer of epic proportions. The resulting beer takes both our signature styles, IPA and hefeweizen, to create a whole new beery entity. The beer rocks a classic Hefeweisse base of wheat and Munich malt with aromas of banana and clove and a distinctive trademark haziness. On top of this we have layered a tapestry of US citrus hop character from Centennial and Simcoe.

Bottle from webb SB cons 2014-03-27 Duved AR: banana foam and wee sweet yeasty AP: hazy brownish yellow, big foam - yellowish in color F: fizzy, thick sugary feeling, banna foam, citrus fruity, faily bitter, dry, wee cloves, - this time the Scots didn’t add anything to the German brew (or was it the other way around?)

Bottle at home, from ABM, 24/03/15. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is straw, tangerine, orange marmalade, apricot, soft bread dough, grain. Taste comprises peaches, tropical fruit medley, juicy hop presence, subtle spice, grassy, bready notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Solid hybrid loaded with hops.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av vete, citrus, jäst, koriander, grön banan, med toner av äpple, kardemumma, nejlika och gräs. Frisk, lätt syrlig, mjuk och rund karaktär, lite ettrig och pepprig beska till avslut.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks zvikar. Hazy yellow. Aroma of phenolic spiciness, kinda soapy, light fruitiness, and some hops, a bit stale. Wheaty flavor, a bit estery, a bit spicy, with some fruity hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle at home. The beer is slightly hazy with an orange color. Unlike most hefeweizens the head is small and has an off -white color . The aroma reveals yeast with fruity and spicy tones (cloves mainly), but there�s also typical hop aroma with orange, lime and grass. The taste is even more fruity with preferably grapefruit. In addition there�s hay, grassy hops and pale malt. Mouth feel is smooth and soft , and the bitterness is not unexpected more pronounced than in an ordinary hefeweizen. This creation is a really fresh and fruity blend of a hefeweizen and an IPA .

Flaska från SB. Mer veteöl än IPA eller mer Weihenstephan än Brewdog om man så vill. REsultatet är riktigt luckad med en i många stycken ganska klassisk hefe med mycket jästkaraktär, nejlikor och grön banan men lite torrare, stramare och friskare med en liten extra nypa citrus och strävt grönt bananskal. Gott
