A Scottish Sour Ale packed with juicy, tart blackcurrants before being aged in ex-Sangiovese red wine barrels. After months in the wood we infused with intensely roasted coffee beans to mellow the sharp berry acidity and harmonise the toasty tannins from the oak barrels. 🤤

Bottled. Deep carrot orange totally opaque hazy colour, small white head. Aroma is chili (old coffee?), some tart wood and mild peas. Flavour is chili/coffee burn, some tartness and mild wood. Kind of oud bruin burn in the finish Strange, but nice.

Unclear orange golden body under a small white head. Aroma is quite acidic with red berries, wood and funk. Taste is acidic as well with red berries, oak and funk. A bit one-dimensional and feels way too acidic in the start but everything improves about hallway through the bottle and specially accompanied with some salty snack. Not super complex but more than decent.

Bottle from Brewdog Lothian Road. Appearance - cloudy orange to red. White head. Nose - floral, dank and salad drawer. Taste - cucumber and apple, a touch of red fruit, earthy. Palate - light bodied, tart and funky finish. Decent linger. Overall - good but tasted a lot better sour today.

500ml bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy orange amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is yeast and big blackberries. The flavour is moderate sour, with a fresh, crisp, yeasty, acidic red berry fruit, light dry coffee, light oaky, vinous palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

hazy pink color that looks like unfilitered pink grapefruit juice. Sour tart nose with blackberries, coffee and red wine. Light body, tart, lots of blackberries and coffee and a touch of oak and red wine. A bit all over the place but enjoyable.

Bottle from Paul. Murky reddish brown with a small white head. Sour fruity red wine aroma, flavour is gently sour, with plenty of berries and a pleasant booziness. Didn't get the coffee but tbh I didn't miss it
