375ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours jet black, no head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate and liquorice. taste has more of the same, light roasted bitter notes. Bit fizzy. Clean finish. OK.

Botella de 33 cl en la Abadía de León. Agosto de 2012. Le falta un poco mas de cuerpo y de volumen de alcohol. Sabores bien combinados aunque no muy intensos. Cuerpo ligero se bebe fácilmente. Se puede repetir, siempre que sea al principio de la noche. Repetiré para sacar mejor valoración.

black in the glass, dry malty nose. The beer starts dry, thick, very roasty-malty. The mainpart is nicely hopped, very dry-roasted. The aftertaste is slightly sour, very nice balanced, not too sweet, absolutely roasted, thick, slightly bitter-sweet! --> a great beer!! Nicely balanced! 13/12/13/12

375ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma with hints of chocolate, a cautious touch of treacle and liquorice. Taste is dry and minimally roasty dark malty, subtle residual sweetness, really dry and slightly roasty, fairly lasting finish.

Helt svart farge med brunt lavt skum. Lukter kaffe, rosin og karamell. Smaker mye kaffe. Medium med kullsyre.

Bottle at Coco’s Outback, Amsterdam. Pours near black with a small tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roast, fudge and light coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle from The Beer House, Paddington Station, London. Pours black, with a small tan head. Wonderful aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with a hint of liquorice. Fairly high in carbonation, and thinner than I’d have liked, however overall much enjoyed.

375 ml bottle. Pours black with medium tan head. Sweet dark chocolate aroma along with espresso and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of acidic black coffee, cashews, and burnt malts. A little thin but still quite nice.
