We make no secret that we love embracing both the new school and the old school here at Polly’s and melding the two. Old school stalwarts Citra and Chinook bring a big old load of pine, citrus, and resin notes to pair up with another two of our favourite new school hops in El Dorado and Mosaic for a tropical fruit salad of a flavour explosion.

One of our biggest hop bills to date has brought about an IPA which is a big homage to both the classics and the current beer trends.

Can. London Ale Yeast, but hey this is a NE IPA eh Ratebeer? Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a little airy, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy light malts with a near perfect amount of light creamy sweetness. Light pine, slightly cooling but not to the point of being minty. Light bright citrus, orange with lighter touches of tangerine and lemon. Pine again, well integrated. A mild but persistent mango hangs about in the background. More pine. Mild but nibbly hop spice on the light crispy finish which also produces a lovely yellow grapefruit nip. Delightful, Polly, Loka duberry what now? At their best. Could drink until I could no longer stand.

Pours very hazy / fruitpunch kinda blonde. Médium white head. Smell is bit candy like, milder fruityness. Wheat,, milder white bread. Taste is medium, fruity, tad sweet, powdery, very much hop aroma, but not blending in that well. The beer is a bit of a mess, where they seemed to have used very much hops, without the necessary support in the beer's recipe.

Can from Honest Brew. Milky golden/bronze body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange zest and straw. Flavour of lemon and juicy pear with a dry, pithy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. It’s good but a bit too sharp for me to love it.

Can at home, 09/11/19. Murky fruit smoothie orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, pine needle, ripe melon, grass, mixed tropical fruits. Taste comprises grapefruit, orange pith, weed, ripe tropical fruits, pine resin, mango, grsss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Decent IPA.
