Strange beer. It’s dark, high on alcohol and quite sweet. Taste of malt, fruit and coriander I think.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar SF, August 2013. (sold as Cochonne speciale 2012) Hazy orange with a medium white head. Rather sweet aroma and taste of fruit, yeast, coriander and orange. The finish was on the dry side and a bit sour. Descent.

Bottle at Dean’s Birthday Tasting, August 2013. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is cranberry and yeast. The flavour is weak sour with some watery acidity on the lifeless palate. I didn’t enjoy this.

33 cl. bottle @ home. I have been looking forward to this one. Procured from Willems. BBF 07/2014. Slow gusher – uh oh. Nose is sour, red wine barrel bacteria, brett, sour red fruits, tart, wine, porto, red wine grapes,… like an American sour – bad sign but actually smells nice. Taste I would chalk up to infection & feels that way like other brews by them but this is actually nice, old red wine barrels, brett, sour fruits & berries, overripe, red wine barrel bacteria heavy, some salted bacon, salt in the back, incredible infection, tart fermenting, overripe, rotting fruits, rotting cherries, light fruit,… It has that overly carbonated infected body going on. For once the infections work out – very interesting.
