A clean pale ale backbone gives way to waves of intense, sweet & tart blood orange. Balanced with a blend citrus hops for added bite. Originally brewed as a one-off, Atomic Orange proved so popular that we now brew it all year round.

440ml Can from Londis Penny Lane. Pours an unusually clear (by today's standards) burnt orange. Thin slightly off-white head. Aroma brings a confident burst of orange and amber malt. Taste is initially quite sugary with some sweet, artificial orange, breezy citrus. Body seems quite light and somewhat empty. Something amiss here expected more of a naturally fruity feel about it.

Can from the brewery. Appearance - amber/orange and clear. Thin head. Nose - not much orange really, predominantly oatmeal. Taste - more orange this time. Dry, tangy orange shred then a sweeter orange at the end. Underlay of wholemeal bread. Palate - close to medium bodied. Dry tangy middle, most of the way to the finish. Overall - ok.
