Dark beer, nice aroma of caramel and toasty malt. Flavour has that too, with a little coffee and I think some liquorice too. Really rather decent.

Draught, half pint. Tasted on the 18/04/2019 at «Aeroporto Sá Carneiro», Porto (Portugal). Pitch black colour with a nice medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and some licorice. Taste is also roasty with some chocolate and chestnuts. Finish is light dry. Next one please!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13C). Bottle 75 cl - Batch L2836582 10:37 (BBF 12/2019). AROMA: medium biscuity, bready and toasty malt aroma with a chocolate quality and slightly sweet. APPEARANCE: very dark brown colour and clear with ruby highlights. medium-large light brown head with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low esters (dried-grapes like), followed by medium complex malt character (biscuity, chocolaty, slightly toffee, low roast). medium-low bitterness with a slightly toasty and semi-sweet finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a nice english porter.
