Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L.TES03. AROMA: predominant hop aroma with resin, floral and fruit notes (grapefruit / ripe mango). some phenolics present as some hull notes. moderate-low sweet malty background. APPEARANCE: âmbar color and hazy. moderate creamy beige head with moderate retention. a lot of sediment is present on the bottle. TASTE: hop flavour with predominant resin notes and less fruity than the aroma. background with a slight sweet malt note. medium-high bitterness that lasts beyond an almost dry finish. slight cereal hull note. PALATE: medium-low body with a slight creamy texture. medium carbonation. slight astringency present and alcohol warming. OVERALL: an interesting double IPA with nice hop presence that needs only slight tweaking.
