Bottle from Corte de Ingles Sol. Pours dark brown. Nose is metallic bread some coffee. Taste is really bitter and metallic, some reminiscence of 100% cocoa chocolate that is basically uneatable as its too dry and too bitter. Way too much carbonation for a stout. This is undrinkable, 35 IBU?? This tastes like 200.

Danke an Taboada. Fein röstiger, cremig vanillig-schokoladiger Beginn. Milde Süße, fein karbonisiert, die Vanillenoten verschwinden. Etwas trockener was dem Gesamteindruck gut tut, süffig, mittellanger cremiger Nachhall. 9/10/9/10/7/9

Bottle 33 cl. At 7.8% ABV I'd say it's a little far fetched to call this an Imperial Stout. The label only claims "American Stout". Pours black with a distinct tint of burgundy red and a delicious and lacing beige head. Aroma has very subtle roast. Body is almost thin, roast, English licorice and nothing much more. Carbonation is a little excessive. 160318

Black color, plenty of light beige head, long duration. Aroma is light roasty with coffee hints. Flavor is slightly bittery, roasted malts are present and some ashes notes. Light cofffee final.

Negra, abundante espuma cremosa y beige. Bastante equilibrada.

Too sweet and way far from the bitterness I expect from an imperial stout. Allegedly they did it on purpose to meet the taste of the average Spanish consumer. Not my taste, for sure.
