It’s the final and most intense day of a five-day test match between the West Indies and England and tensions are high – four runs to go with two balls remaining. This is the West Indies last chance to win – a nail-biter.
The entire Oval falls silent as our batsmen assume their positions in front of their wickets. You need something to quench your nerves and your thirst so you feverishly search for a Carib in your cooler buried deep in the ice – nothing is better than a cold, cold, Carib. As you begin to drink, the bowler gallops down the pitch, throws the ball and up it goes! All eyes dart to the umpire whose two index fingers slowly reach for the skies as thousands of fans jump to their feet– six runs and the West Indies have done it again!
Since 1950, Carib has been a bona fide thirst-quencher and a symbol for everything quintessentially ‘Caribbean’ – energy and warmth that are briefly tempered by a cool sea breeze. It is a balanced, full-bodied and distinctively smooth lager that takes ‘refreshing’ to another level. The revitalizing appeal of this continental-style brew has made it an instant and permanent favourite and the first choice for any occasion.

F: white, average, not long lasting. C: yellow, clear. A: malty, some grassy hops, almost nothing more. T: malty, some sweetness, decent bitterness on the palate, reminds me of sweet american lagers, medium to thin body, average carbo, nothing special, 0,33l bottle from Carrefour in Gwadeloupe.

Bottle from Tesco Extra, Streatham Common, London, split at the parents, most down the drain (27/11/2015) (my first Trinidad & Tobago rate!) - pale clear yellow pour with white head. Aroma and taste is overt sweet with notes of corn and grainy malt, cardboard, some grassy weird hoppy notes, very watery, oh dear.

Minimal head and heavily carbonated urine yellow body. I can smell the stenchy rotten hops from here. Closer to the nose it’s all skunk cabbage. Flavour is sugary fake lager with hints of caramel candy. Dry finish. Kind of circling the drain for lagers.

Dorada muy clara y limpia con dos dedos de espuma muy blanca y consistente. Aroma a cereal tostado. En boca no hay cuerpo y apenas hay gas. Y el sabor es cereal metalico..y sobre todo dulzón , fria en las playas del Caribe puede funcionar.. Solo allí

Clear pale golden colour, large frothy white head, slowly diminishing, fair lacing. Grassy aroma, grain, cardboard, bit soap. Flavour light sweet and slightly bitter. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, light hoppy sweetbitter finish; not bad.
