For 80 years Red Stripe has embodied the spirit, rhythm and pulse of Jamaica and its people. Eugene Desnoes & Thomas Geddes really started something special in Kingston back in 1918. Barley malt and the finest Yakima hops were combined with lots of island attitude to give Red Stripe its now world famous easy taste. Enjoy the Jamaican easy vibe.

Pale straw colour and decent white head. Aroma of malts, sugar, cereal. Moderate carbonation but a little watery. Taste of malts, grain, a little sweet and a minor bitterness.

Gefunden in einem Geschäft für britische Produkte in Wien, das immer wieder für interessante Biere gut ist. Dieses Bier ist recht bekannt, weil es viele an angenehme Urlaubsstunden erinnert. Geschmacklich ist es eher so lala. Es ist sehr erfischend, aber so wenig vollmundig, dass es schnell fade wird. Als Urlaubserinnerung ok, aber als Biergenuss tagt es weniger.

Bottle at a tasting. Relatively clean, only lightly corny and syrupy. Drinkable. I would have no problem in Jamaica.

Uit een flesje. Bleek geel, weinig schuim. Voor de dorst aardig, maar verder een gewoon waterig pilsje.

Brewed in Engeland, says the label. Not that it matters. Cornaroma. Sweet and bland, corny lager. No hops, cardboard flavor. Thin, cork flavor, if possible. This beer really sucks!
