Mexican Hot Chocolate is our Imperial Stout conditioned on Madagascar vanilla beans, cinnamon, nutmeg, & three different varieties of chili peppers. The result is a stout with notes of dark & milk chocolate, creaminess from the vanilla beans, spice from the cinnamon, nutmeg, & peppers, and heat from the chili peppers. We've updated the base recipe to now be 15% ABV!

Can from Herndon: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, cinnamon, hint of pepper. Taste is pretty sweet, slightly peppery, generally spicy. Pretty smooth. They appear to have gone back to 10% as per the can. This is probably better.

16oz can. Like the previous version (the one that isn't an un-Godly 15%), this poured a dark brown color, maybe dark cola, but mostly black. Medium sized tan head. Aroma was light chili notes, though it may have mellowed out a bit since I had been sitting on it for about 2 months. Aroma had a lot of cinnamon, and some booze. Flavor was a bit hot, but after warming a bit the nutmeg really comes through. This would make a pretty delicious November-December beer.

Cinnamon and chocolate. Jet black with a decent brown head. Sweet cinnamon and lots of sticky notes. Well balanced and chilli on the throat.
