Thanks Drew for the great bottle share that night (02/28/2019)
Appearance is in the picture.
Aroma: thick milk chocolate, dark chocolate, maple syrup, sweet coffee tones, rossty coffee tones and sweet cream
Flavor: blends all the prior noted aromas to a stellar sweet and roasty combination; finishes sweet and roasty
Texture: medium bodied - maybe just a touch more; great sipper. Extremely smooth along the tongue to the point of being velvety.
Overall: an absolutely awesome impy stout I would very much welcome again.

500mL bottles, drunk fresh and with 6 months aged.
Dark ebony with maroon highlights. Dark beige head is small, dense, showing moderate retention.
Big, bold, crunchy, almost dark roast-like notes, I want to say, with big milk chocolate and dry, bitter dark chocolate, as well. Vanilla and buttercream sweetness catches up with the bitter/acidic elements quickly. No alcohol or flaw. Lactose is about on par for the series. Not obnoxious, but definitely sticky, milky and a bit funky.
In the mouth it's bitter and dark though it quickly adds intense lactic-buttercream and milk chocolate. Soft, sticky texture though with ample carbonation. Crunchy, almost hard, dark roast and bitter cacao on the end with hints of vanilla and light alcohol warmth. Not a lot of finesse here, thought it's triple shot, so kind of hard to expect that. Fine, maybe a bit unexciting.
