A stronger version of our Lost and Found Abbey Ale brewed to a more contemplative alcohol content.
Massive in every stretch of the brewing way possible this is the sort of beer that will remind a beer drinker who considers themselves a saint that even saints stray as sinners from time to time.

Large bottle from BrewDog Nottingham. Slightly cloudy deep brown, with a tan head. Aroma of raisin roasted malt a touch of citrus and sweet caramel. The flavour has dried fruit, christmas spices and a nice bitter finish.

Lite kullsyre

Mørk brunsvart farge med beige skum. Lukter mørk stenfrukt, alkohol. Soft og medium fylde. Jeg får litt sherryfeeling. Smaker sødme og rosiner og noe alkohol. Sødme og noe bitter avslutning.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2013 vintage. Pours hazy nearly opaque dark brown color with a 2 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big raisin, prune, fig, apple, pear, caramel, toffee, molasses, toast, biscuit, honey, coriander, clove, pepper, herbal, dark bread, light roast, light banana, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, yeast, and spice notes; with big strength. Taste of big raisin, prune, fig, pear, apple, caramel, molasses, toast, biscuit, honey, dark bread, light roast, coriander, clove, pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of raisin, prune, fig, pear, apple, caramel, molasses, toast, dark bread, light roast, clove, pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice balance and complexity of dark malt, yeast ester, and spice flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a moderately slick and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong dark ale. All around great balance and complexity of dark malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Brown amber colour, medium carbonation. Complex aroma of malts and herbs. Very spicy, a lot of anise. Good beer but a bit overspiced.

75cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours brown with a beige head. Slightly stramge aroma with noticable spicy notes, rosemary, caramel, malt and hints of brett. Medium sweet and quite spicy. A bit strange, but quite nice.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma full of dark fruits, yeast, mild roastiness, a bit of honey and some spices. Sweet flavor, malty, with honey, some spiciness, lots of raisins and some other dark fruits notes and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Medium to full-bodied.

coffee-like colour, moderate creamy beige head; very complex aroma of green apple, melon, some yeast, candy sugar and smokey notes; taste of intensive malty sweetness with brown sugar, apple again, roasted bitterness and minimal alcohol; not bad belgian style ale
