A stronger version of our Lost and Found Abbey Ale brewed to a more contemplative alcohol content.
Massive in every stretch of the brewing way possible this is the sort of beer that will remind a beer drinker who considers themselves a saint that even saints stray as sinners from time to time.

750 mL bottle poured and split. Cork exploded off this one. Pours a muddy brown color with a fast fading fizz head. Soft spice aroma. Raisin, plum, light vanilla and a good spice flavor finish. Unique, and very tasty. Slight belgian yeast finish as well. Nice.

Very full bodied. Lots of raisin and plum. Pours dark brown with good head and lacing. Honey is nice but this would be better without the rosemary infusion. Bottle.

2013 vintage. Dark brown color with nice head. Spicy aroma with rosemary and other spices, raisins as well. Taste is full, spicy, rosemary, berries, and a coffee finish with a brilliant aftertaste. Even a hint of Jägermeister (probably the spices) First time I am not disappointed by one of Lost Abbey?s super-well-known brews.

12% abv, 75 cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a big and light brown head. Aroma is just great, dried fruits, sweet berries, flowers, plums, also unique spicyness. Even the aroma is dark it’s still fresh. Taste has dark fruits, great sweet raspberries, some port wine. Taste is also dominated by strong spicyness, at least ginger without burning, also rosemary. Th bitterness is drying the end together with strong spices. Hint of alcohol. The great freshness is there all the time. Almost full bodied, strong carbonation, quite smooth. The great beer with a unique and marvellous spicyness, the glass is empty too soon. Spicy.

750 ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours dark brown with a large foamy head. Aroma of ripe fruits, raisins, plums, wood, spices and honey. Taste is sweet, malty, ripe fruity and syrupy with notes of plums, honey and spices. Finish is warming, sweetish and malty with notes of ripe fruits, plum, honey and spices. Okay.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped 2013 poured into a Trappist glass. Dark brown with medium/small beige head. Aroma is light dark fruit, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is dark fruit (mostly raisins), rosemary, some chocolate, and some honey. Quite a bit of rosemary and it doesn’t work for me.

Fra flaske på Mandag i annen des-14: her kommer julestemningen! Mørk, mørk brun med beige skum. Innsmigrende, kompleks aroma med bl.a. bringebær, svisker og krydder. Smaken er minst like kompleks, her finner jeg svisker, rosiner, fiken, krydder og mye mer, alt med et pikant streif av brett. En nydelig øl i toppklasse som eg fint kan nyte året rundt.

Bottled 12% ABV:
Pours dark brown with a weak head.
Anise and alcohol on the nose; smells like Jägermeister.
Taste is anise, oak casks and harsh alcohol.
A little bit too strong for its own good.
