A massive Imperial IPA that will leave your palate its hapless victim. Dry and stupendously hopped, Arctic Panzer Wolf is brewed with Canadian 2-row malt, dextrose sugar, and lots of American hops, giving it superior aromas of marmalade, white peach, pine, and apricot to balance the intense hop bitterness. Scorched earth is our brewery policy.

(On tap at Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, Nov 16 2014) Pours a lightly hazy dark orange, slightly brownish hints, white moderate head that leaves lots of lace. Aroma of mango, citrus peel, resiny pine, a touch floral, lots of sweetish bready caramel malt in support of a big hop core, Munich maybe? Flavour has pineapple, stone fruit, citrus peel, flowers and lots and lots of hop resin. This leafy hop cone flavour persists in a sticky finish, but there is a nice big caramel and light rye bread type malt core to hold all the hops. Ends quite dry with a big astringent bitterness and a bit of alcohol heat. Medium full, sticky beer with fairly light but prickly carb. Really balls-out sort of bitter resinous DIPA but with lots of fruit and malt to keep it pretty reasonably balanced nonetheless. Really easy to drink and quite tasty, booze quite in check, only the scalded palate reminding you not to get carried away...

Small transparant head over fully hazy orange-ochre beer; myriad little UFO’s in suspension. Fruity, citrussy hops, faint malts in the background. Very bitter, resiny, piney flavour; Hessian sacks for hops, dried hops. Bit flowery too, despite all the resin. After a while, there remains a nice, just-sweet syrupy maltiness in the mouth. Medium bodied, hopoiliness giving plenty slickness and viscosity. Strange, light carbonation. Over the top? Maybe, maybe not. But a 3F I do appreciate. Many thanks to M & L V. for sharing!

Keg at Munich Taphouse, 23rd July 14. What a great DIPA, full aroma, bitter marmalade, grapefruit and pine. Taste, is smooth and delicious, pine resin, loads of citrus, deceptive for the abv. loved this one
