Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates rapidly with no lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet, malty, bubblegum. Taste is medium sweet, lightly roasted malt, a bit of caramel. Light bitter finish. Not too bad for a hot day.

12 fl oz bottle purchased at the Trader Joe’s in Kansas City, Missouri. Best consumed before 04/02/12) printed on the label. Pour is a clear reddish copper with a 1/2 off white head. Head falls relatively quick with loud crackling. The aroma is grass, straw, sweet nutty malt. Faint touch of char mineral way in the back, barely noticeable. The taste is nutty malt, along with an odd chemical floral-like hop or yeast quality to it. After the malt, there is light artificial sweetness, then grass and hay. After it warms, flavors come together a bit. The palate is medium to light bodied, a touch under carbonated and the chemical floral bitter lingering in the finish. Just ok.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was sweet grains, toffee notes, mostly malt forward. Flavor was caramel, sweet malts, grains. Low on hop notes, but still pretty tasty.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is primarily of caramel with toasted malts and honey. Flavor is rather thin, with some caramel and biscuit flavors. Okay, but just not a lot of flavor.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Trader Joes (Short Pump), 12/13/09

Aroma: Nose of cereal mostly, some honey, toasty malts, bread, lager yeast, a little earth
Appearance: it pours a clear medium-dark orange color with a thin white head and drops of lace
Flavor: Taste is mild, it begins with sweet caramel malts balanced by a light earthy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it has an average carbonation, and a somewhat crisp, dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this makes for a decent Vienna, nothing overly exciting going on, but it is pretty true to style. It certainly isn't the best thing I've ever had, but for a very inexpensive session beer that is true to style, I like it enough that I could see drinking it again. Certainly good enough for filling the cooler at a party or something of the like.
