Grain and tree bark nose. Cloudy brown, thin yellow head. Fudge flavor. Watery mouthfeel. Finishes grainy and husky, but sometimes Iโm in the mood for that. Not so great, but itโs tolerable and different.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a very dark brown with about a finger of tan head. Strong aroma of coffee with a good bit of chocolate and vanilla. Taste is light bitter. Strongly coffee with a bit of vanilla. Light bodied with a thin watery texture. Soft carbonation and a decent coffee finish. Overall, itโs ok. It almost seems like they had a decent porter then cut it with a bunch of water. I probably wonโt be buying this again.

Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is Hersheyโs cocoa. Like when I sniffed the old containers. Whoa! Yogi Berra thing. Med body. Mild carb. Flavor is dusty cocoa over some some smooth burnt malt. More dry than not in the finish. Unique.

11th October 2008. GABF. The honey is Colorado wild flower honey. Hazy dark brown beer with a definite floral note from the honey. Chocolate and and other interesting things that are hard to pin down. Dry palate. A bit different.
