Bottle shared by Jimmack at Paul’s gathering. Pours light caramel color. Nose and taste of literally a slice of rye bread - pumpernickel, rye, bread and caraway seed. Very solid for its age.

750ml bottle; Nose of yeasty breadiness, with some apple fruity notes; lightly hazed copper with a big beige head that leaves heavy lacing as it recedes slowly; flavor of a tart, slightly funky fruitiness, rye graininess, and yeast.

kp’s Fest of 26 Pours with a murky dark amber body with a fleeting white head. Spicy, caraway aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet, spicy, turning a bit bitter as it moves into the finish.

Tap at HW Open House. After having the Gotsland beer I am expecting something really out there for this beer. Poured orangy copper. Aroma is present. A sour-like sweetness. Taste is bland version of the aroma. Does not have any of the irregular aspects of the Gotsland beer. The bottles for sale said it needs to be aged a bit longer, maybe those will be better.

Kind of a cloudy pour out of the tap, with a smallish, soapy head - there is a kind of chewy, tart, sourdough quality to the beer, I suppose from the bread yeast used to make it? - not the rye flavor you experience in other "rye beers," this sucker, literally, tastes like rye bread - not sure if that’s a good thing, but it makes for interesting drinking.
