Metallic Gold wax bottle, $9 at Binny’s. At first pop, just a fresh beer smell. Nose over the bottle shows me there are plenty of grapefruitty hops inside. Pouring straight into the glass puts head over 1/3 of the glass, over a hazy IPA amber. In the glass, the hops show some pine resin and cut timber character. First taste is a big explosion of everything an American Big beer lover can want. Big citrussy and piny hops, backed by some stiff crystal malts that could be used to distill into brandy, and a nice warming alcohol. Happy, hoppy and malty. Soon as I finish writing, I’m going out to finish this on the patio.

Bottle thanks to Msante79. Pours reddish amber with white head. Very full nose of rye, hops, citrus and brown sugar. Taste of caramel malts, hops, some rye and citrus.
