Fresh organic ginger juiced by hand kisses the lithe malty body, copulating with the hop in this pale ale ancestor.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 31 July 2010) Pale amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with orange, grainy malt and lots of ginger. Malty, spicy taste with notes of grainy malt, ginger and orange. Light body, mainly dry. A bit thin but the nice ginger character saves it from falling through. Fairly nice.

On tap at White Horse SW6. Golden yellow/orange in colour with small head. Nose; ginger, honey and straw. Palate; some citrus, mellow, refreshing with short finish. Nothing to write home about, but not too bad.

Keg at The White Horse American beer festival, Parsons Green, London. Clear orange pour with slight head. Ginger aroma. Tastes of ginger, spice, rather light. Not very good to be honest.

Low-bodied hop water with some ginger root flavor and resin. Golden yellowish pour. Not one of my favorites. Rated 4/8/10

Nothing too impressive here, aroma is of malt and ginger. Taste is pretty much the same, more of a malt balance than a ginger balance.

Ah, session beers, my specialty. Smell is a tad yeasty sweet with a little hint of hop in there. Slightly darker and a little more cloudy than yer typical pale yellow beer. Yes, first taste is a laid back alky drink that is not initially overspiced. No real bitttersnes and the spices are what seems to add to this relatively mild drink. Ginger baby! Some maltiness continues to stick up its head here and there. Decent carbonation but not sizzling by any stretch of the immagination. Finish is friendly with some annoying veggy hints. Nice beer but not sure if this can be sessioned 3-6 at a time.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, orange to amber colour with a short and slightly yellow frothy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly woody hoppy aroma with a mild malty and spicy background. Slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft malty body with noble hops character; dry and slightly bitter and fruity hoppy finish with present ginger spice. Might be a good thirst quencher in the summer. 21.XII.09

Bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy orangish gold with a small white head. Aroma had notes of ginger, citrus and malt. Flavor had strong ginger notes as well as some grainy malts.

24th May 2008. Crisp refreshing beer with a good (but not overpowering) ginger presence. No complexity here but not bad.

12 oz bottle purchased as part of a beers of summer 10 pack at World Market. Bottled on 11 12 08 stamped on label. Pour is hazed golden amber with a 1/2 inch off white head. A bit of settling on the pour. Aroma of soft lemon sweet sugar and some ginger. Soft and clean nose. Taste is sweet sugar lemon, with a crisp wheat like body and strong ginger flavor in the finish. Palate is lighter bodied, crisp and clean. Nicely drinkable beer.
