Bottle thanks to Graeme. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is black licorice and hickory. Medium mouth, chocolate malt, plums, wood, booze, very good.

Really interesting brew. Obviously, this has been infected (I assume unintentionally). Pours a black hue with a medium brown head. A nose of sweet grapes big brandy and roast. A tart dark cherry flavor, big brandy, oak, grapes, roast and light chocolates, no bourbon. Good. Complex.

Courtesy of Craig. It pours mahogany with thin mocha head. The aroma offers up chocolate brownie, baker’s chocolate, some booziness and dark roasted malts mixing with some coffee notes. The taste has yummy dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark roasted maltiness and some bourbon. Midway and into the finish it picks up an additional note in the form of vanilla. Yummy!

Sample at the brewpub. This blend pours a murky brownish-black color with a thin beige head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of malt and chocolate with bourbon in the background. Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, malt, bourbon and a bit of butterscotch or toffee. The finish is roasty with a dark malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
