Flight at the brewery. Pitch black color with a long lasting beige head. Good lacing. Light roasted malt, caramel, and brown sugar aromas. Tastes more like a foreign stout to me. Not a fan. Very tangy roasted malts. Thin body, a little watery. Disappointing.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty. Bitter, dark roasted malty and subdued sweet. Bitter and dry finish, lasting dark roasted malt finish.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/22/14
Overall Impression: Updating rating. Lets keep it the same. If anything, it would probably go lower, but 3.2 seems just about right.
Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/22/11
Aroma: The aroma is coffee, roast, and a little chocolate
Appearance: Dark brown pour, lasting light brown head, decent lace
Flavor: Taste is similar, but a little thinner, light roasted sweetness
Palate: It has a smoothish mouthfeel and a medium body
Overall Impression: Not bad, not overly exciting either.
