Lupulus is a blonde ale with an alcohol proof of 8,5 %, refermented in champagne bottles and in casks. The choice not to filter the beer, as well as not to pasteurize it ensures its taste and aromatic quality. The use of hops in considerable quantities, gives this liquid gold a freshness and an incomparable bouquet. Store this beer, as it ought to be, next to your beloved Grand-Cru and serve at a temperature between 8 and 12°C (46,4 and 53,6°F). You'll be delighted

750 c &c from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy light gold with a white head. Aroma of malt and fruit esters - lightly tripping on the nose. A very fresh aroma. Med+ body. Flavor is fruity ester, tho not necessarily banana, yeast, and a great deal of hop. Light spice pervades. Arguably mostly noble hop. It’s very "crisp", fresh and tasty. It finishes rather hoppy.

750ml bottle cracked with DrSilverworm. Creamy yeasty Belgian Tripel. Seriously impressive head. Odd earthy oxidized action...can’t imagine this would be the way the beer was intended. Thick yeast tones, this doesn’t doesn’t taste like fake johnny belgo ale. Thanks for the premium priced oxidation bomb importers. I enjoyed this beer more in the morning.

Draught @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuiske. Pours hazy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with hoppy touches and malty and estery touches. Sweetish, fruity and malty flavour, with bitter, hoppy notes, and pronounced touches of yeast. Slightly spicy and bitter finish. Complex but well-composed. Nice.

2 June 2014. 8/3/8/4/16=3.9. Pours hazy blonde with a small frothy white head, some particles. The aroma contains citrus, hops, flowers, herbs, yeast and grass. It tastes medium fruity sweet and medium herbal bitter. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. The 8,5% pops up after a while. All is very well balanced in this beer. (Edited 25/7/17)
3 April 2018. One of the first beers I actually rated, back then a real novelty for me and somewhat overhwelming for my inexperienced nose and taste buds. With a 75cl bottle shared by my dad, it was time for a quick rerate. Hazy yellow with a lasting, foamy, white head. Fresh aroma of yeast, bread, citrus, hay, grass, orange, zest and spices. Light fruity sweet onset, turning light to medium hoppy/spicy bitter, hints of lemon sourness. Dry, grassy, yeasty finish, a bit alcoholic (gin-like). Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Still a more than decent and unusual Abbey Tripel.

Doskonale i pelne piwo w typie tripel, alkohol niewyczuwalny, za to wyraznie swierzosc lupuliny, chmielu belgijskiego pewnie poppering. Piana mocna i trwala, zbita, metnosc spora, i zolta barwa piwa dosc jasna mimo zmetnienia. Przyprawowe nuty takze. Moja wersja była korkowana i hucznie strzelila, w przeciwienstwie do kapslowanego brune ktore ciezko bylo odkapslowac.

Pours hazy light yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to meringue surface leaving sheet lacing. Mild skunk and lemon aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel and hay upfront turning to earthy hops in the dry, lasting finish.
