Bottle. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose/taste of cherry wood, smoked malts, caramel toffee and citrus. Lots of smoke and cherry. Medium body. Finishes dry smoked cherry wood. World class for the style.

Nicely made Scottish ale with a tiny bit of smoke on the end. Rather hoppy up front, but settles into a semisweet middle before heading into a dry, lingering finish. The smoke pops up on the fade, not heavy but rather a subtle suggestion that mixes nicely with the piney hops. The lack of sweetness makes me happy, and the low ABV makes me want another.

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus, toffee malts and smoke. The taste is fruity notes, plums, citrus, toffee and a smoky finish. Medium bodied.
