(Draught at Brauhaus Lemke Hackescher Markt, Berlin, 27 Aug 2016) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, pineapple and caramel. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, grapefruit, orange peel, resin and a generous citric, resiny bitterness. Full body, slightly oily texture. Quite sweet. Tasty, on the sweet side, but with an impressive hop presence. Nice one.

660ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Citrusy and slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon tea, hints of lemongrass, biscuity malty background. Taste is caramel malty with an almond touch, some cardboard, citrusy hoppy overtones, hints of lemon; slightly warming, alcoholic finish, full body, oily texture, minimally sticky palate. Barlez Wine resemblance.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Hazy golden. Aroma of some fruity hops, malt, honey. Sweet flavor with malt, honey, caramel, some alcohol, a bit of bitter fruity hops. Medium-bodied.

On tap at Lemke, Berlin. A bit hazy golden/orange with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with pineapple, light soap, resin and caramel. Sweet and with a bitter finish.

Bottle courtesy of fonefan. Light hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 280416

Bottle @ Hakescher Markt. They poor 20cl samples from 66cl. Cloudy golden with a bubbly head. Oranges, sticky overripe fruit, alcohol and a bitter finish.

Tap (Brauhaus Lemke, Berlin). Piwo wyraznie zmetnione o bursztynowej, wpadajacej w pomaranczowa, barwie. Piana biala, lekko przybrudzona, srednio pecherzykowa, niezbyt obfita, delikatnie oblepiajaca szklo. Aromat bardzo delikatny z nutami zywicy, cytrusow przebijajacymi sie daleko z drugiego planu. W smaku slodkawe z minimalna nuta cytrusowa, potezna podbudowa slodowa i lekka nuta alkoholu nie do konca przyjemna, ktora nadaje piwu ciezkosci, wyczuwalnej mocy choc mimo to piwo jest w miare pijalne. Niezla imperial ipa ale za duzo mocy i malo sie poza tym dzieje.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma pine and slight grapefruity. Bitter, pine and dry. Pine and grapefruity hoppy finish.
