Tap at Heartland Union Square, 24/11/13. Listed as 7% ABV. Mid black with a moderate tan covering that retains well. Nose is light roast, pine, earthy hops, mineral bite, tropical fruits and grapefruit. Taste comprises earthy hops, pine, bitter orange, grapefruit, roasty, chalky minerals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness brings the curtain down. Solid enough CDA.

Draft: Poured a clear black color ale with a small foamy head with light retention. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with light bitter hoppy notes. Taste is quite light for style with light roasted malt with dry caramel and some medium bitter notes. Body is too light for style with average carbonation. Lacking malt and a serious hops profile does not make this one something I would want to try again.
