In medieval times, the Knucker was the infamous water dragon that wreaked havoc on local farming communities by consuming local livestock and even villagers! This soothing serum was was concocted to tame the savage beast! A great session IPA. This beer has a balanced mix of 3 varieties of hops, and is dry hopped for a week with Simcoe and Amarillo. Can you say Grapefruit? If you enjoy the hop characteristics of our DIPA but without that punch-in-the-mouth experience, look no further than Auld Knucker.

Amber with an off white head - Good hoppy aroma - Good malt body to support the hops that gives flavours of grapefruit and some pine in the back - Long dry hop finish - This was good

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a bronze glow and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent citrus, grapefruit and especially piney hops coupled with a good amount of malt and some alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive resinous and rather piney flavours at first with a good herbal and slightly grassy hop character and a good malt backbone coupled with some light earthiness. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt with a nice grassy and herbal note and a strong but bearable alcohol flavour. Overall, a great Southern California IPA and one that should be sampled by all that like the style, that is, if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle (mine says 7% abv on the screenprinted bottle) purchased from Texas Liqour in Carlsbad, California on 19-March-2013 for US$7.99 sampled a few hours after returning on a subsequent trip from San Diego on 10-June-2013 at home in Washington.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear somewhat dark caramel color with a large white head. A sweet fruity nose with some caramel. Sweet very fresh hop profile with big oranges and grapefruit, light caramel and earthy malts. Quite easy and flavorful. Nice.
